Chicken Sue

This is a larger wrapped canvas though not as deep as most of my others. I invented the crackle paint on the red barn walls but the white and barn door are Tim Holtz crackle paint. I used real thread on the pockets as well as antique lace. The boot laces and cat whiskers are embroidery thread black. The paint is all acrylic and is sealed with thick matter goldens gel medium.

Sanna, I am in love with your work! Your faces, their expressions, the compositions of your paintings, the whimsical feeling you create, the wonderful mix of materials you incorporate--it's all fabulous! I'm amazed at how quickly you can finish a piece like this. Your inspiration must be never-ending! Bravo!

Sanna... your art is delightful. I love the girl and all her chickens, and I am glad to see how happy the horse is too! Love it. Where do you get your ideas from?

Hi Sanna! I just received an e-mail from you, asking me to join Linkdin or some name like that. Could you tell me more about it, because I am already on Facebook. Is it like Facebook at all? You are from that group I was in, called Artforthecreativemind right? Anyway, hope you are doing well. I posted a picture of my granddaughter on my blog. I have been in school since September, so I have not had time to work on my Art. Hugs, Francine
