Here my three guys in the costumes I made them for Christmas

Here they are with their cheap Nerf guns!
SIX SEVEN, AND EIGHT cutest trio ever! I made these pj's with white long johns from Wally world and got the hats from a local party store. The buttons came from JOANNES,and I glued no slip to the bottom of the Christmas sox!!!! The scarfs were braided felt in black, green and red. I suggest they use parts of this costume for actual snowmen later. Just for extra kicks I put all three outfits in separate Santa bags with  magic acts to go with the show. All they had to do was sing "WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS", on the first verse they had a flower bouquet under their hats to through at the crowd, On the second verse they blew horns, and on the last verse they had poppers to go with ,"AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR"!
Oh and to bribe them I gave them each a Nerf gun and told them they could be snowmen gangstas after they did their skits, they loved it!!!!
My guys did and excellent job! Yeah Garrett, Preston and Andrew, you made my Christmas extra special!

Christmas blog giveaways... just leave a comment for a chance

to win one of these canvases, they are small wrapped and ready to hang. I will choose a winner for one each of these pieces two weeks before Christmas. To win you simply need to leave a comment about the art or the blog in general and an email address where I can reach you should you win. Good luck!  This piece with the hot dogs was just fun and I found the hot dogs in some magazine and couldn't resist doing the VanGogh like background and making the hot dogs sing. I hope you all remember the song.
8x10" 's Titled "Three Dog Night, Singing Joy to the World"
These are both original canvases one was a round robin so other people signed to back, I never thought it looked finished so I worked it some more and finished that piece below. It is about how we took the land away from the Native Americans and now how we need to think about who will own it next. Life and democracy is all about change and it's not easy to adjust but this is the way of the world. This piece is mixed media with tissue and collage bits some from ART CHIX, and some Victorian scrap and metal charms, I painted the face of the Indian and other parts. Some parts peeking through are from people who have signed on the back of the canvas! It is all sealed with gel medium and Dorlands wax.
8x12" 's Titled" In the Future"
Be sure to leave your email!   Hugs, and Happy Holidays, Sanna

Currently working on studying some of the masters, and copying them in small pieces 2.5x3.5" 's!

I will be doing quite a number of pictures of Jesus, here are my first five. They are copies of the master's that I did myself.  All except one it's a copy of one of mine. Guess which one is mine? Well they are all mine here but one is my original idea the others I used Masters ideas to paint copies of, so learning more about technique and great sentiment!

I am finsihed with my tooth fairy! Well it's really a tooth fairy for Helen!

Here you can see her molar tooth crown with the words and sparkles I made on it, this piece is so neat with hidden words everywhere, embedded in all the different layers!

I fixed her nose smoothed it with some amazing wood icing which I love to use! Her hair is made with texture from wood icing too!

Here you can see a little tooth fairy poem, there are words inside and outside of her body to integrate my work and this is something I learned from Rachelle Panagary! Her wand  stick is made with tissue paper the ultimate in smooch and goosh technique I learned from Terrie Lightfoot years ago!

Her shoes are red just for contrast and fun! Most of this piece is in purples and some pinks because Helen's favorite color is purple!

Look at all the magic! See the purple, see the white teeth she has absconded with in her tooth fairy tooth bag!

You can see right up her nose just like when you sit in the dentist's chair and you can see right up the dental hygienist's and dentists noses! hehehe

I always completely work the sides of my wrapped canvasses so that they are completely ready to hang! Sealed with Golden matte medium and also with dorlands wax.

Notice here the words inside the Industrial Chic crystal, they say "Helen the Healer" because it's for Helen, we all need to appreciate our hygienists!
this is how I connected the tassel to the wand but I also used gel medium and crystal effects so it's on there nice and solid!

The entire work, I will take a better picture outside tomorrow and post that as well!

Showing her knees and feet, and placement of mixed greens and other colors! Each corner has a picture of the teeth inside the mouth but it's very subtle.

The top of the fairy bag with magic!

Not finished but here's a peek...

This is the beginning of a project I started with my son Daniel. I am bringing some youth into my studio and asking them to let go and do wild under paintings.
I am also assisting them with the under paintings and then finishing the painting with my over painting.
You can see peekaboo pieces of work Daniel did here in the chest wall where my heart should be.
This cat eye is part of the under painting I did, this piece is titled"Pieces Of Me", and I love my fur babies. It's also pieces of my son though, he painted snakes and fish and other awesome shapes. I am teaching these kids about marks , color and self expression. How to appreciate the process and how to experience gettting into the "ZONE"!
Daniel my 17 year old son wants to be a policeman, so I asked him to carve the one word that would best explain what being a policeman means to him. He chose the word "Righteous", because he wanted to help the week and put criminals away from society.
Daniel wasn't thrilled with my additions but he knew all along what I was doing, part of this process is continually letting go of our art and creating new images. All the kids who participate in this process with me with get half the sale of the painting they helped work on,to use the money however they wish.
This painting is not quite finished yet but since Dan is wanting a special new computer which costs 550.00$ I am asking 1100.00 for the cost of this work.
So if you love this painting and you want Danny to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Birthday which is also in Dec. email me at so we can make a deal. Sale of this item will also be a tool for encouraging Daniel to create future art, he's very talented!
In the next few days I will post the completed piece! So stay tuned.

Here's a 3D mixed media piece I made for my peridontist.

Here it is in full length! The tooth Fairy!I think her name is Helen. She's the hygienist to my periodontist and it's soon to be her birthday. She's my copay if they like her!!!!

The wand!
The shows a close up of her wand and the multifaceted gem I placed inside the center. There are many many layers to this piece.

the wand stick and the tooth bag , also showing one of the embedded marble's.

Her face!
This face is unique in that the hygienist is unique. She's wearing these magnifiers as the hygentists works with these on a daily basis. Hope she love it!!!

This shows the tooth crown and a larger mid section.

I found the perfect bead to use as teeth for her tooth fairy bag of teeth. The bag is 3d and pops out!
