Exciting news about the path my art is taking!

So this is my dream! Not too much different from Martin Luther Kings. I have this dream that art can unite the world through the children and women. Through those with means to those without, helping the oppressed to become powerful.

I had a Dream
My idea started forming about a year and a half ago and is as follows. After taking Flora Bowley's class I decided it would be really neat to teach others how to make marks and do under paintings. The I would do the over paintings. Then sell the work and give a portion of the profit to the under painters to use towards their future educations.

Now this week while taking  The "LIFE BOOK CLASS", I met Shiloh, she's an amazing woman with a vision and her idea is to bring art to other cultures as a way fro each individual to find their own personal symbols and language as a means of expression and self  empowerment.
So I decided to incorporate this into my idea as well, since I have always wanted to change the world for the good through art, God has finally given me a niche. Not only will I allow my own paintings to be a part of this process but I would also love to see others paintings be a start and finish to this process eventually as well.

This particular painting was under painted by Aarika Foose and over painted by me. So it's now finished and ready to be purchase, I used acrylic paints nifty tools for mark making as did Aarika. Then I molding paste for more textures, painted over that.  and viola. I had a dream about the central center shape and painted my people around that. I plan to do a series of these. This is a large piece available for purchase.

this past weekend.

They did such a wonderfully varied job!

All of their under painting inspire me to create!

More paintings for my show.

These are a more unusual shaped canvas then my average type.

They would hang nicely as a set.

They are bright and cheery..

Rainbows, hearts and doves.

The edges are stamped with scrolls, flowers and leaves.
The tops are painted acrylic and stenciled on top with molding paste and colorized over that with Stamp' in Up dark blue ink. The clouds link these pieces together as well.
The greatest of these is love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My artwork from this week.

Two mixed media women all about my inner voice. I still did a few touchups on the  Breathe deeply after I took these photos will post that again after it

dries. These two original art works are for sale as a set. The price is two hundred and fifty dollars. I painted and mixed them on hot pressed 9x12 Inch fine art paper. Not much that wasn't done to them including  gesso based, stenciled, stamped embossed, crayon dached mixed with gesso, molding paste through stencil, acrylic paints ,graphite collaged background with tissue papers and some die cute flowers!

Yesterday I went to the NH Fair! I took only a few pictures as I was rushed...

W e brought the dog because she is so old I feel badly leaving her at home at this point for any extended amount of time. Then when we got there found out no dogs allowed in the Fair grounds. So my dad let me view the fair for two hours, then we were going to switch but he didn't want to when I got out. I didn't buy anything because it seems all the prices have skyrocketed. I loved so many things though. I saw a felted purple cat that I adored and I know I could make that myself, just need to take a wet felting class. I would have bought it but felt too guilty to spend on myself since two boys are going to college in less then a month.
Then there was this one woman who was selling hand made jewellery and I loved this one ring. Might still buy that for myself eventually. Gilt ruled my decision making processes..
Here are the amazing artists I did take pictures of and what they made were sculptures. Guess that is the art that still really floats my boat! One guy was a folk type artist and he makes art from pieces of scrap wood awesome artist, I was drooling over everything he made.
The other guy was a clay artist and his life life oceanic sculptures made me want to create too! He was very open and friendly. Too bad I didn't have time for talking.
